We will take the time to review materials and explain the working properties of each material. We are interested in what your goals are for the project and what the areas of concern are. From there we can choose the best material to fit your requirements. We will also take the time to explain how raw materials are priced and how that may or may not reflect on the overall quality of a particular material. In order to make sure you are satisfied for years after the installation it is important that you have a complete understanding of the product you are buying. You should be given enough information to make sure you can make the best selection for your project. We want to avoid any surprises after the work has started.
Cincinnati StoneWorks stocks full slabs for you to view and select the exact slab for your project. We work closely with our regional suppliers to make sure we have a full range of colors for you to select from at our facility. Purchasing slabs is similar to many other products as you tend to get what you pay for. We take the time to inspect the finish and over all quality of material that we put into stock. We push for the best pricing that we can but we will not sacrifice quality to save a few bucks on the slab. All granites are not created equal and each stone has different and unique working properties. There are some materials that are popular because of the color but are not in our inventory because they are problematic when it comes to fabrication and overall durability. We will point out some of these features and help you to make the best decision for your project. We stock a number of materials in the low to medium price range. The cost of the material is not really an indicator of the quality as many low range price materials have better working properties than some of the “exotic” materials. The list below is some of the colors we typically keep in stock as long as quality runs are available. This list is not all inclusive.
